Our Mission
Project Hastings is a student-led nonprofit organization that not only alleviates food disparity in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside but also aims to help the community through the distribution of necessities. Our team of over 400 youth students are motivated to make a difference.
Our Team
As members within our communities, the volunteers of Project Hastings are focused on improving the quality of life for the less-fortunate. We are committed to acknowledging the rights and humanity of all and hold ourselves accountable with integrity as we work towards serving and empowering vulnerable communities in Vancouver and Toronto.
Our Background
Our leadership and volunteer teams consist solely of secondary-school students throughout Metro Vancouver and Greater Toronto with a Board of Directors composed of industry experts and a rotating Advisory Board formed by selected alumni. We are eager to create real change in our community and to empower those experiencing homelessness, substance misuse and mental health crises. Our volunteers and staff gather at various sites across Canada, with a primary focus on the Vancouver Downtown Eastside community and Toronto Core, to deliver hot meals, water bottles, blankets, socks and other seasonal needs requested by the community.
