My name is Nickolas Zhang and I am privileged to be the co-founder as well as to serve as the Executive Director of Operations with a special focus on leading day-to-day operations, event execution and fundraising. Since PH's first distribution in 2020 with a cadre of only 5 members, I have seen PH develop into a substantial team of driven and dedicated youth volunteers.
Along with our meal and essential distributions, our ever-growing mission of targeting the stigma surrounding homelessness is something I look forward to extending in the coming years.
Outside of PH's distributions and meetings, I enjoy cycling around the Lower Mainland and immersing myself in the nuances of public and international policy.
I'm Jeffrey Zheng, and I'm the co-founder and Executive Director at Project Hastings. I lead the team's operations and the social media and design/creation department.
At Project Hastings, we have gained significant insights into homelessness and its varying factors since our inception in 2020. I am proud to be here, stating that we are truly making a difference, consistently serving our friends one meal at a time.
As a team, we have observed many hardships and complications in the unhoused population of the Downtown Eastside; the team's determination to continue the good fight is what makes me hopeful for a better future.
In my free time, I like to train, read, and listen to classical music.
