On November 27th, Project Hastings hosted a Krispy Kreme Fundraiser.
All proceeds went towards supporting the homeless people in DTES through our other initiatives.
On June 19th our volunteers headed out to the DTES for a hand out. In total, we handed out 500 sandwiches, 13 crates of water, 4 bags of Pretz, as well as a crate of apples, oranges, and chocolate cookies! Thank you to Cobs Broadway and Moondust Cosmetics for making this handout possible!
On March 29, we gave out 300 sandwiches, 10 bags of pretzel sticks, 10 crates of water, 60 beef bowls from Pokey Okey, 24 cinnamon buns from Grounds for Coffee, and 100 buns from Michelle's Cake Shop. We would like to thank our sponsors Pokey Okey Richmond, Grounds for Coffee, and Michele Cake Shop for their donations.
On March 20, we gave out 150 sandwiches and 210 water bottles. Special thank you to the generous contribution from The National Sandwich Making Initiative, for making this event possible.
On March 13, we gave out 300 sandwiches, water bottles, granola bars as well as buns kindly donated by Michele's cakeshops
On February 14, we gave out 200 sandwiches and over 100 pieces of bread generously donated by our sponsor Michele Cake Shop.
We contributed 10 boxes of canned non-perishable foods to 2 shelters in the downtown eastside. 5 bags with ready to eat food was handed out to our hungry neighbours.
Our food drive was a success!
We have delivered over 10 boxes of canned foods over the figure of 300 cans!

Project Hastings was able to contribute 10 large bags of clothing along with some face masks and hand sanitizers to Directions Youth Services for this harsh winter. Thanks to everyone who participated in our first clothing drive!
